Hy everybody!!!
Here are some news of the "rainy Brussels". We have a good time at the EHSAL and the contacts between us and the Flamish students become more and more close and friendly. We are only with 8 students in our group and the atmosphere is really warm. The only negative point is the work we have to do ...... Steve and I have the impression to combine two years in one, it's a nightmare! By the way, we had a nice (but tiring) week. We are part of a project called "The MCLT Week". The aim is to discover other cultures in our country and to meet people. We have a heavy program but we learn a lot. On Monday and Wednesday some students made presentations about different subjects like the poverty, the different schools, the holesbi's, the religions, etc.,... On Monday afternoon we visited a Jewish school in Brussels. Tuesday we went to Antwerp and spent all the day with the Jewish community. On Wednesday we had again presentations. Today we went to Gent where we visited a Belgian historical museum and a mosque. Tomorrow afternoon we will visit a Buddhist temple. Next Monday and Tuesday we have an observation training in a centre where people who arrive in Belgium can learn to speak Dutch. You see we have a very interesting but "intensive" experience. During the excursions we have also the oppotunity to speak with the students of the other sections; they are all very nice with us and it is a real pleasure to meet them. They are very flattered because Steve and I have decided to speak Dutch all the time even if we are only speaking to each other, I think we make a big impression! (a little bit pretentious, isn't it?).
That's all for the moment. I hope you all have a great time in your respective countries.
Big kisses from Anne-Marie
